Hollie’s husband has taken on a lot of the household tasks she used to do.
Transcript
He does the dishes most nights so that I don’t have to be in the kitchen and smell the food smell, or stand at the sink, because he knows that it’s a little too hard. But I do try to help out as much as I can, and help with the laundry, so he doesn’t have to do that. And he’s definitely picking up the slack for me. So, yeah, I’m pretty grateful for that.
Interviewer: And has that changed the household dynamic, you being able to do a bit less?
Well, our house is messy. [Laughs]. Yeah, it’s just – it doesn’t work as well as it normally does, because normally those are tasks that I would do, and he wouldn’t have to. He’s coming home from a full-time job and having to help in the kitchen or barbecue. Or even planting the garden. Like I didn’t have enough energy to even help him plant the garden this year, which is not like me. So, yeah, it’s definitely had an impact.
